ASUS MEMO PAD 8 (ME581CL) LTE

ASUS has launched its new MeMO Pad 8 (LTE) at Computex 2014 with younger brother Pad MeMO 7 the interesting tablet because it tries to stand out from the competition not so much for its design, but for the technical configuration. And one of the first models (announced) with processor Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz belonging to the family from Moorefield and will probably be among the first on the market. Blog of Mobile, in fact has found its traces on the FCC website (code MSQAST21), a clear signal that its commercial debut in the U.S. at least is now at hand. After all, it was expected for the summer for $ 179 (€?).
The American documents of the institution did not offer us information about the heavy MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL), but the labels show us the existence of at least three different models called AST21-MLA, AST21-MWA, AST21-MPA. What will differentiate? Colors, storage, or what? We know that the new ASUS tablet will come with an IPS display 8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels), 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, two cameras of 5 and 1.3 megapixel camera, NFC, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G/LTE and battery 4350 mAh. The operating system is Android 4.4.2 KitKat and will be available in three colors, pink, blue and white with a gloss finish. For now it is difficult to make an assessment in terms of performance and support for alternative software, since ASUS MeMO Pad 8 is one of the first tablets with Intel chips Moorefield, which integrates PowerVR graphics and Intel HD.
Recall that in addition to the MeMo Pad 8 (ME581CL), ASUS has also launched an entry-level version of the MeMO Pad 8 which ME181C code and is virtually identical to the MeMO Pad 7, except for the larger display. Obviously will have an Intel Bay Trail and Moorefield. We will be back on the occasion of the first American and availability, why not European. Stay tuned!
