PQ iStick A300 Mini PC



In recent years, more and more companies have released the Mini PC that can be connected to a TV to run Android or Linux on the screen in the living room. Thanks to ARM-based processors for low power consumption, these computers are often slightly larger than a USB stick, but have the same power of a smartphone or a tablet. They are designed to accommodate one or at most two ports, so who needs some extra interface must opt ​​for the Android TV Box or ARM-based development boards.

PQ Labs has created a Pocket PC in the form of a key with three USB ports, WiFi and optional mSATA for the connection of a solid state disk. 
PQ iStick A300 Mini PC is basically a large 9.9 x 5.6 x 1.5 cm . The equipped with a processor Rockchip (ARM Cortex A9), up to 2GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD card slot, a microHDMI port, 3 USB host, Ethernet, and, for some models, dual-band WiFi , Bluetooth 4.0 and mSATA port .

Prices start at $89 for A300LT, which integrates a Rockchip RK3168 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and passive cooling, up to $169 for Model A350-iStick SSD with RK3188 processor quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, WiFi 2.4 and 5GHz, Bluetooth, power button, battery and active cooling (with fan). There is also a model iStick A300 at $109 with the same CPU and RAM memory of the more expensive version, but it only supports WiFi 2.4GHz and has no mSATA.

For PQ Labs, Mini PC iStick are perfect for road signs, kiosks and multimedia totems touchsceen, but they could also find a place in your home such as computers or Android thin client system for accessing remote PCs. With support for mSATA, then you could add hundreds of gigabytes of storage space for their digital content. PQ iStick A300 comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, though it will not be difficult install custom ROMs or other operating systems based on Linux as PicUntu.

  1. I have an iStick A300 but I can not seem to flash a custom rom on it. Does anyone have any idea what custom rom I can flash on it? It has a Rockchip RK3188 processor.
