Teclast P88S 8-inch tablet Chinese clone of the Apple iPad Mini

The Teclast P88S is a Chinese tablet that is highly reminiscent of the recent Chuwi W88 and Colorfly CT781, both with the same diagonal and similar measures, both as regards the thickness of the frame around the display, in all cases, thinner than the Apple iPad mini. Even in the case of the Teclast P88S we find a beautiful body in aluminum alloy lines very close to those of the tablet from Cupertino but just with smaller frames, thus leaving more space for the displayed content and allow you to include the measures of the device, which is also thinner than the more famous tablet U.S.. In this case we have a thickness of just 6.75 mm.
The result is made possible by the adoption of an IPS display produced by OGS, which uses a special technology that allows to significantly reduce the diaphragm between the actual panel and touch screen, thus recovering precious millimeters. At the moment the technical data concerning the Teclast P88S, which the manufacturer has not officially announced yet but that is just leaked on some forums Asians, are not yet complete, so we do not know for example resolution and screen luminance value, while for far we only know that the hardware platform adopts SoC AllWinner A31 , formed by a quad core ARM Cortex A7 and a performance PGU PowerVR SGX544 .
No news at the moment instead on the amount of RAM or memory dedicated to storage, as you do not know the number and type of ports offered, possible expansion of the area of data storage and connection modules, while the operating system should be Google Android Jelly Bean, but in version 4.1 and not 4.2. Within a few weeks, Teclast should formalize the tablet, announcing then either complete technical specifications that price and availability, possibly even beyond the national borders.

Pipo M6 with IPS 9.7 inch Retina display

Pipo M6 has an interesting display with IPS 9.7 inch Retina resolution. At the moment, these are not official announcements advances and the technical details are very patchy and highly incomplete. According to the pictures shown, the product looks very well cared aesthetically, with a retro in brushed aluminum black than on the two shorter sides also seems to present a soft touch coating which improves the grip when holding the device in landscape orientation and the display edge-to-edge, completely devoid of that board. The screen has a diagonal of said like 9.7 inches and a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels , with a density of 264 PPI, which is ensuring a high quality image display.

The only other known characteristics concern at the time the operating system, which should be Android 4.2 Jelly Bean , and the heart of the tablet, the System on a Chip Rockchip RK3188 , formed by the quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor with a clock rate of 1.6 GHz and ARM Mali 400 GPU 533 MHz Instead of none at all other indications, such as the amount of RAM, the memory used to store data on the number and type of ports present or operational autonomy. On the back is also seen a camera, perhaps also equipped with LED flash , while on the opposite seems to be present a webcam, but do not know the resolution of any of the two chips. So who is potentially interested in this tablet will have to wait for the official presentation to know the price and Pipo know if he's going to sell the M6 also outside of China.

Uhost3 Android TV Box from China

Another Android TV Box. It's called Uhost3 and makes of a quad core ARM Cortex A9. The device is different from the usual right-looking: instead stand as a Mini PC from the classic rectangular body here we are faced with a circular shape and very minimal, both in matte black color as in the absolute lack of brand or other embellishments .It is made of polycarbonate chassis seems still good quality.
On the front there is only the power button , while the back is a compilation of the main gates, and in particular HDMI digital video output, two jacks for headphones and microphone, two USB 2.0 ports and plug for connection to the Ethernet LAN, The form is also flanked by those WiFi, Bluetooth, DLNA and Miracast for streaming video wirelessly to a monitor. In order not to spoil the aesthetics of the particular Uhost 3 however the doors can be hidden behind a flap, which restores the absolute homogeneity of the lines of the body.
Finally, the device also integrates a webcam. Less clear the situation as regards the budget. Smallart in fact speak broadly of a System on a Chip with quad core ARM Cortex A9 1.6 GHz and GPU ARM Mali 400. Colleagues to Geek Buying though a spokesperson stated that the company has not yet decided whether to adopt the AllWinner A31 or Rockchip RK3188, something rather strange since the AllWinner is based on core ARM Cortex A7 and A9 and 544MP2 a PowerVR SGX GPU, while the RockChip respond perfectly to the description on the Product Data Sheet. Aside from this inaccuracy, however Uhost3 can count on 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, expandable.
We currently do not know the plans of it regarding a possible distribution outside of the national territory, nor the estimated cost of the Uhost3.

Google X (assumed Motorola Phone X or Google Phone X)

When we think and talk about Google X, we immediately think of a "top secret" project hidden in the shallows of Google Labs and Motorola (Googlerola). From a certain point of view, if Google bought Motorola, it is to use it to his advantage, as Larry Page and Eric Schmidt did we understand there is a way that a few days.
"Think of your device. The battery life is a challenge for most people. You should not have to carry a charger with you to charge your mobile during the day. If your child accidentally spill his drink on your  tablet, the screen must resist. And when you drop your phone, it should not break. "
While it is not impossible that Motorola is one of the forerunners of the future in the area of mobility, it must still be noted that Larry Page clearly highlights the Motorola products citing two important keywords that are "autonomy" and "physical strength". While other manufacturers are already well advanced in this area, we must not forget that Motorola was the first manufacturer to offer a smartphone (RAZR) with a Kevlar fiber back, in addition to its Gorilla Glass screen.
According to AnTuTu, there could be a prototype of the Google X does exist:
If you believe the screenshot, Google X is based on a processor running at 1.5 GHz and the supposed future Android 5.0.1 (Android K), with a AnTuTu score that amount to 15479 (prototype six months in advance ...). Brief.
While it is possible that Google has already finalized a stable version internally, as they usually do, I think the appearance of a version of Android 5.0.1 still a bit premature, given that Android 5.0 is not output, and thus confirms that nothing if the next version of Android will be the 4.3, the 4.5 or 5.0. I mean that almost anyone can change their build.prop and achieve 15,000 on AnTuTu claiming he has a Google X.
In addition, logic would dictate that the Google X (assumed Motorola Phone X or Google Phone X) is the successor to the Nexus 4, which will not be released until October 2013. Then we can consider that Google keeps both Google Nexus X and lines, but we need more details to understand the direction in which Google is moving preserving two ranges. As I mentioned earlier in the article, it is not impossible that Google abandon the Nexus range in favor of Google X. range
Anyway, it is still too early to confirm this or that, and as a famous proverb Poem Aragon said  "time will tell! "

The British branch of HANNSpree has published an image that depicts a tablet covered with a veil of silver (which protrudes just a corner), accompanied by the comment "# EXCLUSIVE. # The HANNSpad Tablet PC is back" . No doubt, therefore, the new device will belong to the range HANNSpad. Probably it will be the tablet dual-core 9.7-inch , which we saw as a prototype at CeBIT. The arrival is short-perhaps in late April or early May, at a price of 169 Euros . Among the target markets we will be Britain, Germany and Italy also.

EU3000 and Mele A2000 Android TV Box

Android TV Box that are coming onto the market, the excellent relationship between price and strong performance thanks to some System on a Chip economic performance but as those produced by AllWinner and RockChip and operating system of Google. Today we speak of the EU3000 and Mele A2000.
Very nice and treated the first, featuring a polycarbonate shell with black gloss finish, with its soft and curvy yet slender, which give the device a high-tech appearance. EU3000 is mounted on a swivel that allows a precise orientation, while the base allows the coupling to the top of any display. The measures 154 x 120 x 53 mm and weighs only 100 g also makes the product not much different from a simple webcam that is well integrated on the front, with a sensor to 5 megapixels and a noise-canceling microphone that make environmental the EU3000 one of the most suitable to carry out also work calls, can guarantee an audio / video quality much higher than the average of other similar devices.
Inside, the platform includes as said the System on a Chip AllWinner A20, consisting of a dual-core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A7 and an ARM Mali 400 GPU, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory for the local storage, expandable via microSD memory. The equipment is then completed by HDMI digital video output, a microUSB port, a USB full-size bed and a WiFi module, while the operating system is Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Aliexpress offers this TV box at a cost of $99 .
The second model instead is produced from apples, of which we have recently proposed the A1000G model , a more expensive model but also performance as it comes with a quad core SoC AllWinner A31. In this case we talk of the model A2000 apples, a very different product, price, appearance and functionality, compared the EU3000. In this case, in fact we find an appearance closer to that of a normal miniPC, with shell table by square shapes and also equipped with remote control which also integrates a full keyboard. Inside is a platform entirely identical to that EU3000, while different is the allocation of ports.
Mele A2000 includes 2 full size USB, plug the Ethernet LAN and HDMI video outputs, VGA and Composite AV . Also interesting is the interface that comes with the operating system Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, showing large colored squares from which to start the main feature. The price of apples A2000, which should be released next May, should be between 60 and 70 dollars.

Tronsmart T428, the picoPC Android

The Tronsmart T428 one of the many picoPC, slightly larger than a normal USB stick, which are depopulating a lot lately, being able to handle many multimedia features but costing very little. In particular, this model will be sold short at a cost of 75 Euros .
Geekbuying has proposed a short review before placing it on the market, since the manufacturer has finally sent the final version of the device. Let's start looking first of all, because last month they had only seen photos of the printed circuit board and a few prototype, but the final version is very different and comes with a polycarbonate shell in black, rather elegant and simple on the surface there are only of parallel grooves, probably to offer a better grip and add a little 'surface, and the logo Tronsmart.
The proposed configuration is probably the fastest on the market, including the Rockchip RK3188 SoC, consisting of a quad core ARM Cortex A9 1.8 GHz and an ARM Mali 400 GPU at 533 MHz, which is also quad core, supported by 2 GB DDR3 1333 MHz RAM and 8 GB of flash memory for internal storage. The equipment is then completed by a microSD card reader, a microUSB port, a USB full-size modules Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11n and a HDMI 1.4 connector is provided to connect the Tronsmart directly to a display and can handle both the flows video and audio. The installed operating system is Google Android Jelly Bean in the latest version 4.2.2.
As said, the GUI of the OS, as you can see in the video, it looks smooth and responsive, also the staff of Geekbuying claims to have also tested the Bluetooth connection, which worked perfectly, as seems to have done the function of streaming video wireless WiFi Display, new to Android and which requires the use of a compatible device. Very interesting is also the availability of the app eHomeMediaCenter, which allows you to control the picoPC from your smartphone and do not underestimate the ability of the Tronsmart T428 to run on hardware decoding Full HD video in 1080p at 60 frames per second.
So for the price of the Tronsmart T428 75 euro seems to be a very competitive and complete, able to meet the needs of home users who want to cheaply acquire a convenient media center through which, however, can also browse and check mail, social network and perform other tasks in small quantities.

Pipo M8pro 9.4 inch Tablet with Rockchip RK3188

More and more Chinese manufacturers trying to have visibility in the West and not only on the domestic market, as well immense and with enormous potential. Among them is Pipo, which recently we had proposed another Android tablet, always fitted with Rockchip RK3188 SoC, which is currently one of the most popular ever in the entry level because it is able to offer a great mix of performance and cost. Now Pipo back to the attention of the media and consumers with another tablet, the new Pipo M8pro , also based on the same Soc RockChip and characterized by some unusual choices.
The first aspect, although cheap, it looks nice, the lines are nice and current and the device is also quite compact and slim, measuring 240 x 172 x 10.8 mm. Also nice screen edge-to-edge, accentuating the feeling of not being in front of the device usually cheap and cheesy. Just the display is the first of unusual solutions have been mentioned previously, characterized as it is by a diagonal of 9.4 inches , very uncommon on the market, in which under 10 inches is easier to find clones of the Apple iPad screen from 9.7 inches. The multitouch panel to 10 points of contact is also IPS type and has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and should therefore ensure a good overall quality.
Also notable is the supplied hardware, which includes the System on a Chip Rockchip RK3188, consisting of a 28 nm quad-core processor ARM Cortex A9 with a clock rate of 1.8 GHz and well-ARM Mali 400 graphics subsystem, which is also equipped with four cores with a clock rate of 533 MHz RAM type DDR3 533 MHz is equal to 2 GB, while the internal memory is 16 GB, which is further expandable through the use of microSD memory. The equipment is finally completed by a 5 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front webcam, the WiFi and Bluetooth modules (3G is optional via external USB dongle) and a 6500 mAh battery that should provide between 4 to 7 hours of battery life, depending on the way you use your tablet.
The operating system is Google Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and here we find the second feature, ie the launcher owner Pipo, completely revised from the previous edition and now much more intuitive, composed as it is by large colored tile, vaguely reminiscent of Windows 8. The shop offers the ChiniStore Pipo M8pro at a cost of €194.90 .

Archos smartphone specifications and prices

In some online shops have the first traces of the French Archos smartphone. In April 2013,JBMM had found three devices, whose names coincide with those that emerged a few weeks ago in the early rumors , but according to Pierre MiniMachines versions expectations should be four, all based on Andorid with different diagonals of the display. It seems that the French colleague is in possession of the technical data sheets of 4 models, their prices and also the release dates (guidance), data summarized in the table below.
There will be not three smartphone, but four. Will be launched by April-May and all will be equipped with a processor MediaTekIn particular, the CPU MediaTek MTK6515 (single core 1GHz), MTK6589 (quad-core 1.7GHz Cortex A7) and MTK6577 (Dual-core 1.2GHz). The processors are not particularly powerful, but the company will need to contain the costs of products and allow them to carry out major activities smoothly. All models share many of the technical specifications: sensors, 3G, GPS, or FM, and tuti have a dual-SIM reader .
The difference is then the diagonal and in the presence/absence of a recent version of Android. Only Archos Platinum 48 has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is also the only IPS capacitive display with 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels). Archos Carbon 35, Archos Titanium 52 and Archos Titanium 4 are integrate Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Further evidence that the Archos Platinum 48 is the top model of the series is given by the 8 megapixel camera, and not 2 or 5 megapixel camera as the other models. It also comes with a more powerful processor, 1GB of RAM (512MB elsewhere) and 8 GB of storage. The prices of the four smartphones will vary from 80 to 240 Euros.

IbenX GamePad a gaming quad-core tablet

The market is always changing and companies churn out new models, just like IbenX GamePad, a gaming quad-core tablet.
The gaming tablet is unlike the standard tablet, must ensure ergonomics and performance, allowing the user to be able to play without any problems. The tablet game should in fact incorporate the precise controls, buttons and joystick physical well-positioned to meet the gambling habits, especially solid, but they also provide good gaming performance with the latest 3D titles.
IbenX GamePad attempts to reconcile both aspects, with the integration of a quad-core processor and a series of buttons around the screen. It 'difficult to assess the actual quality, but this video shows his "road test" (jump to minute 9) giving us excellent general impressions. The tablet integrates a capacitive IPS display 7 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels , operating system, Android 4.1 Jelly bean and two cameras, a front-facing 0.3-megapixel and a rear 5-megapixel camera. Under the shell is then installed a quad-core SoC Allwinner A31(Cortex A7) with PowerVR SGX 544 graphics, a solution that should be far superior to the chip Rockchip RK3066 dual-core Archos GamePad.
At the moment we do not know the launch date and the actual sale price , but probably we will know more in the coming weeks.

CX 803-II

HTC First, the first smartphone with Facebook Home

The existence of a Facebook Phone has been one of the biggest hits of recent years. Mark Zuckerberg has always denied that anything like that was in development, but there were all the conditions of the market. Moreover Facebook, like Google, lives for the majority of advertising and, as in the case of the Mountain View giant, even for the social network would not be a bad idea to convey their services through the device of the economy in order to widen their of users. In fact at the end something happened but not in the way many if they were imagined. A smartphone fact at the end has arrived but is in all respects a product HTC, while Facebook has only developed an app able to offer a user experience superior to that offered by all the other solutions currently available and capable of thus transforming all Android phones in as many Facebook phone.
HTC First, as the name implies, however, is the first device on the market to offer it pre-installed. It is one of the mainstream smartphone, which will debut this summer in the United States with the provider AT&T, priced at only $99.99 . However, if you decide to purchase the unbranded then the price will rise to $450 . Characterized by soft lines and very sinuous, HTC First also offers a good mix of technical features, from the main screen, a Super LCD 4.3 INCHES with the resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels which has a density of 341 PPI well, protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Inside there is a SoC Qualcomm MSM8930A Snapdragon dual core processor with 1.4 GHz and Adreno 305 GPU, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, expandable via microSD cards. Upon completion we also find a 1.6-megapixel front camera, a 5 megapixel rear camera and modules Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC chip . The battery is 2000 mAh, while the operating system is Google Android 4.1 Jelly Bean . The main new feature, however, is as we said Facebook Home . The latter is essentially an app full screen that replaces virtually all normal third party apps developed so far for this OS and makes them useless. Home Facebook fact will not start but will always be active in full screen, as BlinkFeed HTC One.
In Facebook Home you will then receive all notifications and messages on the social network but also complement HTC First notifications of missed calls, calendar, email , etc.. while some of these other smartphones will remain the preserve of the old notifications. Facebook Home therefore is proposed as an alternative to the interface standard Android, a kind of alternative home screen from which do everything but in a different manner, once again, therefore, the parallel with BlinkFeed is more than valid. As in the case of the rest of those who want to return to the home screen will not have to do anything but traditional long press the home button. Maybe fans of the first hour of Android, won over by his total configurability and by the fact of being "open" will not appreciate the arrival of an interface so pervasive and all-but it is said that it can not instead attract other types of users so far reluctant to approach the Google operating system.
